She joined Navrachana University in August 2016 as an Assistant Professor.

Education

  • Krutika Abhyankar did her PhD in Zoology from Sardar Patel University, VVNagar-Anand.
  • Her thesis is titled “Studies on the ACE Inhibitory and Antioxidant potential of seasonal fruits”.
  • She did her MSc in Zoology from the same university and her Masters thesis is titled “Therapeutic Potential of Glibenclamide in Diabetic Rats Exposed to Fluoride Toxicity Carbohydrate and Lipid Profile”.

Krutika Abhyankar has worked in the field of animal physiology. In her doctoral work, she has dealt with specific enzyme (ACE) inhibitors isolated from chosen seasonal fruits. DST PURSE-SPU Program sponsored fellowship was provided to her as Research assistant during her doctoral tenure. She teaches Undergraduate courses like Classification of Animals, Evolutionary biology and Biotic interactions and Economic zoology. Till date two of her research papers have been published in peer-reviewed journals. She has participated in national and international conferences and her Poster on “Angiotensin I converting enzyme inhibitory peptides from Manilkara zapota produced by enzymatic hydrolysis” was awarded as best poster at National Symposium on Exploring Advances in Biological Sciences (EABS-2016).
